You can also record and edit your own voice. It can't play MP3 audio files. You can however convert all of your mp3 files to AAC using a program like iTunes and then add them to the DSi. The sound application can also browse through folders that you store your music in. For instance, you can make a folder on the SD card that is named "Country" and put all of your country music in it and when you are looking for music on the channel you will see the folder "Country" and be able to see all of the music, and play, all the music that has been put in it. '''Q:''' What is the purpose of this project?

'''A:''' Getting unsigned "homebrew" code running on the Nintendo DSi in native DSi mode.

'''Q:''' Any progress?

'''A:''' Not much as this project just started.
'''Q:''' What is the purpose of running "homebrew" code on the Nintendo DSi?

'''A:''' The Nintendo DSi is a decently powerful system that has a SD slot, 2 cameras on it and a touch screen all in a portable system great for homebrew.

'''Q:''' Why not just rely on already available flash carts for homebrew?

'''A:''' The goal here is to run our own code via a software exploit, not a hardware one. Also, flash carts have a bad reputation. Finally, current flash carts only allow you to run DS-native homebrew, with no DSi features (such as the cameras) or increased power being available. Also, SD Cards for the DSi are cheaper than flash carts.

A clever circumvention of security allowing a user to perform tasks that are not normally permitted. Often several exploits will be employed in a series with the user gaining increased authority over a system at each step, the goal typically being complete access and control.

A term used to describe the base 16 number system, in which each digit represents four bits. After the digits 0-9, the letters A-F are used to represent the values 10-15. Hexadecimal is the preferred format for displaying binary data, as it is easy to mentally convert to/from binary and uses only 2 characters per byte.
